170th Anniversary Celebrations
The inauguration of CDP’s 170th anniversary was an extraordinary celebration of its history and functions. We were tasked with creating an event that was both memorable and meaningful. The venue for the institutional ceremony was the former State Polygraphic Institute and Mint, a monumental building that had been unused for over ten years. With 17,000 sqm of space, seven floors, towering ceilings, and endless corridors, the building provided a majestic and evocative backdrop.
Our vision for the event was to transform this imposing space into a vibrant stage of emotions. We designed a 6-meter-high podium and wrapped the facades in 200 meters of scenic tulle, creating the illusion of an institutional event set within a continuously evolving construction site. This concept combined the grandeur of the location with the energy of a future under construction.
The opening ceremony marked the beginning of CDP’s 170th anniversary celebrations, with the participation of President Sergio Mattarella and Italy’s top state officials. The event paid tribute to a long history and an institution central to Italy’s economic and social landscape.
