170th Anniversary Celebrations
The launch of CDP’s 170th anniversary celebrations was an extraordinary tribute to its legacy and role in Italy’s development. We were entrusted with creating an event that would be both memorable and meaningful.
The venue for the institutional ceremony was the Ex Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato — a monumental building that had remained unused for over a decade. With 17,000 square meters of space, seven floors, soaring ceilings, and endless corridors, the site offered a majestic and evocative setting.
Our vision was to transform this imposing structure into an immersive and emotional experience. We designed a 6-meter-high podium and wrapped the facades in 200 meters of scenic tulle, evoking the feeling of an institutional event unfolding within an ever-evolving construction site. The concept blended the grandeur of the location with the dynamism of a future in progress.
The opening ceremony marked the beginning of CDP’s anniversary celebrations, with the presence of President Sergio Mattarella and Italy’s highest institutional representatives. The event honored a 170-year legacy and celebrated an institution that continues to play a central role in Italy’s economic and social landscape.
